Applicants for Mortgage Alternative are put through the same kind of credit screening that you would expect from a bank when applying for a mortgage. This is to protect the property owners from customers likely to miss monthly payments. The kind of customers we are looking for have a gross household income of at least $100,000 per year ($80,000 per year for single applicants), can show a stable history of employment and address, and are looking for a home in the locations where we have approved stock available. Mortgage Alternative is a new product and we are currently running to a limited number of customers in the Southeast Queensland and Sydney markets until we can successfully build and match vendor listings, successful investors applications and successful MA buyer applications. We are seeking MA applicants who meet the above criteria and are interested in progressing an application with us. PLEASE NOTE – there is no guarantee that we will be able to successfully match you to a home and an investor, but it is wise to apply early and at least seek early credit approval from us, as credit approved customers matched to a vendor listing on http://assquire.com.au/property-listings/ are likely to appeal much more to our credit approved investors, as we move forward.

As you can’t get an assquire home just anywhere, these properties are likely to be very popular with investors and other MA home buyers, so apply early! There is no cost to applying, and you will know what properties you can afford under MA rules.

Also, an approved vendor and investor are more likely to accept to match to you, if you are preapproved credit and insurance wise, as an MA buyer. It will give you an edge.

Once the objectives of the SE Queensland and Sydney launches have been achieved, we will be looking to launch Mortgage Alternative to the broader national market. This may mean that we can accept applications from customers with lower household incomes than that stated above. It will also open up a variety of additional locations where Mortgage Alternative stock can be purchased.
